Privacy
Short version: this site has no accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter and no analytics. It asks you for nothing and stores nothing about you. What follows is the detail, including the parts that are out of our hands.
None. The site sets no cookies of its own and starts no session. Which rules you switch on and how you weight the three criteria are carried in the page address itself, not stored anywhere โ which is why you can share or bookmark a ranking and get the same one back.
Like any web server, ours records requests as they arrive: the address requested, the time, your browser's user-agent string and your IP address. This is what makes it possible to keep the site up and to spot abuse. It is not linked to anything else, not used to build a profile, and not shared. The site runs on DigitalOcean in Frankfurt, so these logs stay in the EU.
This site carries advertising from Google AdSense, and that is the one part of the page that does look at you. Google's script runs on every page here and may read or set cookies, and may use your IP address and browsing behaviour to choose which ads to show. We never see any of it โ no advertiser or ad network receives anything from us, because we hold nothing to give.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before any of that happens, and you can change your answer at any time. You can also review and switch off ads personalisation for your Google account at myadcenter.google.com, and read what Google does with the data at policies.google.com.
The nominees and their season figures are collected by us from public football data sources, ahead of time and independently of any visit. Loading a ranking does not send a request anywhere on your behalf. The players listed are public figures and the numbers are their published match statistics.
Under the GDPR you may ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct or erase it. In practice the answer is that we hold none: there is no account to look up and nothing to match a request against beyond transient server logs. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
Questions about any of this go to privacy@whoshouldwin.football.
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it. Last updated 26 September 2026.
